In order to pursue the human science then, prior to entering into the Major subjects, the students will be trained for the basic subjects so as to brush up themselves and this term is called as the Premedical.

The human physiology curriculum also fulfills prerequisites for most human science graduate programs (with minor modifications), which include:
  • Medical, Dental, Osteopathy schools
  • Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy programs
  • Physician assistant and nursing programs
Some students would consider the human science base to move into such graduate programs such as the following:
  • Health Administration
  • Education
  • Public Health
  • Nutrition
It is to be considered that many medical schools are looking for students who have a broad liberal arts education with proper premedical knowledge prior to pursuing the major subjects in medicine.
Some of the top medical schools or Universities that offer the Premedical Courses in the Medicine Programs include:
Students also have the option in their last semester to do an internship in a hospital or clinical setting.  This is set up through the health science department with a clinical coordinator but it can be in any area of health care as long as it meets with the departmental approval.
